So, I'm am putting the historical romance on the back burner for the month and going to try to write like mad on a contemporary romance set on the Gulf Coast. The goal is 50,000 words by the end of the month. We'll see.

Congrats on entering NaNoWriMo! I am an instructor at Misque, a juried writer's retreat for authors with complete (or nearly complete!) novels, who want to take the next step and prepare it to be sent to agents and editors. Space is limited to twenty people, so don't procrastinate! Promise yourself this summer, you'll polish that romance novel. :)
